Jael McHenry and Sarah McCoy Book Reading and Signing

Monday, February 27th, 2012, 630pm – 830pm

We welcome Sarah McCoy, author of The Baker’s Daughter and Jael McHenry, author of The Kitchen Daughter to the shop for this very special signing.  Sarah and Jael will be reading excerpts from their novels, and signing copies of their books.

As food and baking is at the heart of both of these stories, we will be sharing a selection of treats for our attendees to enjoy.  We hope you can join us!

 

 

Sarah McCoy is the author of the novels, The Baker’s Daughter and The Time It Snowed In Puerto Rico. She has taught writing at Old Dominion University and at the University of Texas at El Paso. The daughter of an army officer, her family was stationed in Germany during her childhood. She currently lives with her husband and dog, Gilbert, in El Paso, Texas, where she is working on her next novel. Find out more about Sarah on her website, Twitter, Facebook and Goodreads.

Jael McHenry is a talented and enthusiastic amateur cook who grew up in Michigan and Iowa before moving from city to city along the East Coast: Boston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and now New York, where she blogs about food and cooking at the Simmer blog. Her work has appeared in publications such as the North American Review, Indiana Review, and the Graduate Review at American University, where she earned her MFA in Creative Writing.
